Previously, she represented the province of Entre Ríos in the Senate of the Nation since 2007 , and during the two previous periods, was a National Deputy .

Parliamentary work (1999-2011)
During his parliamentary work, he presented numerous projects with different themes: education, social welfare, human rights, care of the environment and natural resources, consumer protection, among others, most of them deserving favorable sanction. He was an informant member of the laws of National Education and Comprehensive Sexual Education. She was also the author of the bill that led to the enactment of the law that incorporated the crime of forced disappearance of persons into the Criminal Code.
He promoted and had a relevant place in the treatment and approval of laws such as: Retirement Mobility, recovery of Social Security Funds, the Law on Audiovisual Communication Services, Educational Financing, Technical and Vocational Education, Equal Marriage and cancellation of the laws of due obedience and end point.
Paraná was always one of its priorities in legislative projects. Thus, on their initiative, National Historic Monuments were declared to the Popular Library, the José María Torres Normal School, the Centennial School and the Eva Perón Home School.
There are also several projects for the transfer of land and national real estate to the province, such as the recently approved transfer of the site where School No. 100 "Puerto Nuevo" works, which now has its own space for the training of Shipbuilding Technicians. . It was also the driving force behind the creation of the new federal court in Concordia, an initiative that, thanks to its hard work, achieved final sanction.
Intendance of Paraná (2011-2015)
In December 2011, she assumed the position of Paraná mayor along with the Gastón Grand. 1 The main axes of its management were given by human rights and the care of the environment.
In the axis of Human Rights , the politics of Women stand out; and the Rights Recuperadores program. Firstly, public policies on gender are aimed at providing spaces of containment, treatment and individual and collective vindication to women who have been victims of violence; in line with provincial and national policies of the last decade. Reconstruction of ties, the promotion of rights, the generation of tools for their empowerment have also been an axis. In this sense, various actions have been carried out:
